NEW GAMES!!! =D

Kia ora ,bloggers!

I'm now in Malaysia and its great here!

I always wanted to learn Java/C++/Python or any other coding languages, so I joined scratch.

So i've made two good games in scratch so far, and i think im motivated into it!

Scratch is fun and challenging, and it helps me with my coding skills.

Here are my 2 games:

Quality Comments

Kia Ora,readers!

Yesterday at school I learned about quality comments.

We learned that quality comments need to include: a greeting, something positive, thoughtful and helpful.

We made a slide about a quality comment using one of the films below.

I enjoyed watching the film.

Thinking on what to write was the challenging part.

Can you guess which film I am commenting?

My Migration

Kia Ora, Readers!

A few weeks ago at school, I learned about migration.

Migration means to move from one place to another.

I made a poster about me migrating to New Zealand.

I enjoyed using different fonts.

I found challenging when choosing the photos on the internet.

Do you know how did you or your ancestors migrated?

WordArt

Kia Ora, readers!

Today I made another Ako Hiko project about Digital Footprints.

I used an app called “Word Art“.

I enjoyed making the whole process and I found nothing challenging.

Have you made word art before?

See you on my next blog!

Digital Footprint

Kia ora, readers!

Today at school on Ako Hiko we learned about digital footprints.

Digital footprints are when you post a video or a photo, people search for your post, then they share it with the world, then people copy it and then it’s permanent everyone will know what you’ve posted.

We made a project about the lesson.

What I enjoyed making it was going to the history and screenshots of the apps I used today.

What I found challenging was to use the footprint image to make a trail about where I went on the internet today.

NARRATIVE

Kia Ora, readers!

today I wrote a narrative in school.

I enjoyed thinking about what to write.

What was hard was correcting my grammar.

Do you like my story?

Hope you like my story.

Paper Poppy Origami

Kia Ora, readers!

Today I made an origami Poppy flower out of two pieces of paper: A 10 by 10 cm black paper and a 15 by 15 cm red paper.

What I found challenging was cutting normal sheets of colored paper to the size I want it to be.

My favorite part of making the project was folding it by following the steps.

Do you like origami?

Hope you like my presentation.

A Letter To Mother Earth

Kia ora, readers!

Today I made my 3rd poetry!

It’s called “Mother Earth”.

What I enjoyed was writing the poem.

What I found challenging was to avoid using the same word over and over.

Do you like my poetry?

Hope you like my poetry.

Trip To Orewa Beach

Kia ora, everyone!

Last Friday, my school and the other seniors in Hay Park School went on a field trip to Orewa Beach.

After we ate breakfast, we went on a bus to reach the beach. It took us at least 45 minutes by bus to reach the beach.

When we reached there, we met two instructors and they introduced themselves. After that, we split into our classes and did our activities.

Our class started off with some beach games. We went to the park at the beach to play. Next, my friend, Ifalemi and I played soccer. After that, we played tug-of-war between the girls and boys. After a while, we played volleyball. After volleyball, we did our second activity which was surfing lessons. The two instructors taught us how to surf. We first lie down on the surfboard. When we feel a wave coming, we need to start paddling using our hands. When the waves are starting to push us, we need to stand on the board. To do that, we need to stop paddling and use our hands to lift our body off the surfboard, like doing a pushup. Secondly, we need to bring our back leg up facing then your front leg and start balancing. After a few tries, I managed to stand on the surfboard! After surfing, we ate lunch. Then we went on the bus and it was very noisy. We sang different songs and a teacher let us watch some football tournaments on her phone.

It was a fun day and I enjoyed the trip a lot. The best time was managing to stand on the surfboard.I wish I could play longer at the beach because we didn’t get to surf for a long time.

Do you like surfing?
